Main purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure Radisson’s SAP environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient and vendor-agnostic, focusing on performance and availability. A key component of this role is to review and improve changes which are to be implemented in the production environment, with a particular focus on ensuring that custom ABAP code is as optimal as possible and will either not negatively impact production performance and availability, but ideally significantly improve it.

Role purpose:

Main purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure Radisson’s SAP environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient and vendor-agnostic, focusing on performance and availability. A key component of this role is to review and improve changes which are to be implemented in the production environment, with a particular focus on ensuring that custom ABAP code is as optimal as possible and will either not negatively impact production performance and availability, but ideally significantly improve it.

The SAP Basis Specialist will work side by side with the SAP Operations Manager, the Sr. Director of Information Technology, and the Sr. Director for SAP and Service Management, focusing on continuous improvement of the whole SAP landscape, including non-SAP applications if applicable.

Roles/Responsibilities:

1. Ensure top-notch performance for all SAP systems in the landscape by proactively identifying areas of improvement.
2. Expand current SAP solutions for scale, resiliency and maintainability by leveraging cloud functionality.
3. Architect new SAP Cloud solutions and integrate them with existing on-premise and cloud systems.
4. Work on innovative use cases in collaboration with RHG Product management.
5. Set up and configure SAP based on best practices.
6. Automate SAP deployment, configuration and operations.
7. Support partners in developing SAP migration frameworks.
8. Work closely with engineering teams and program management for SAP migrations and Cloud improvements.
9. Ensure project delivery as per contract: quality, schedule and cost.
10. Proactively monitor and control system performance, identify trends, and resolve issues proactively.
11. Ensure collaboration and team spirit, interacting effectively at director, senior director, and VP levels.

Accountabilities: SAP Basis Specialist is accountable for the smooth operation, continuous innovation, and transformation of Radisson’s SAP Cloud environments.

Job requirements and qualifications:

• Location: Madrid
• Fluency in English
• +10 years SAP Basis experience
• At least 5 years international experience
• ABAP developer expertise
• Experience with SAP performance management, diagnosis, troubleshooting
• Knowledge of SAP Security, authorizations, troubleshooting
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA
• Strong SAP BASIS, SAP Technical Architect, business development, infrastructure, and cloud experience
• Deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver Administration
• Experience with SAP system migration or upgrades
• IT consulting experience as a technical specialist

Highly desirable experience:

• SAP Fiori troubleshooting and optimization
• Knowledge of SAP platform stack
• Experience with SAP PO, SAP ASE databases, SAP BTP/CPI, API management
• Experience with Cloud solutions and architecting SAP on Cloud
• Scripting and programming skills (ABAP, Go, JavaScript, Python, Ruby)
• Hospitality industry experience

Travel needs: Up to 20%, mainly to Brussels HQ
