SAP Basis Project Manager – 12 months+ – Spain

RED Global is working with one of our key clients on a new long-term freelance opportunity for an experienced SAP Project Manager with a strong background in SAP Basis.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead complex infrastructure-related SAP projects involving system upgrades, cloud environments, and Basis operations.
2. Oversee infrastructure delivery across multiple initiatives.
3. Collaborate with existing technical teams and drive project success.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 12 months + possible extension

Location: Madrid, Spain (other locations could also be considered)

Language: Fluent in English; Spanish desirable

Key Requirements:

1. 10+ years of SAP Basis experience.
2. Proven track record with installations, upgrades, system refreshes (ECC, BW/BI, PI/PO).
3. Expertise in complex environments (DR, BRS).
4. Experience working with SAP on Linux/Wintel and across HANA, Oracle, and SQL databases.
5. Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
6. Experience managing Basis-related projects and audits.
7. Strong Project Management skills (risk assessment, planning, leadership, communication).

This is a Project Manager role — the successful candidate will oversee infrastructure delivery, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure project success without being hands-on technically.
