Job summary

Triangle Talent is seeking an experienced SAP Basis & BTP Architect to join a client in the IT sector. You will own the technical foundation of the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition landscape, ensuring stability, security, performance and evolution of the SAP environment.

You will act as the technical authority for SAP landscape architecture, collaborating with SAP ECS, project teams and business stakeholders to secure a reliable, scalable platform aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP Basis experience (6+ years) with at least 2+ years on SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with RISE with SAP or comparable managed cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA administration, NetWeaver, ABAP/Java stacks, Web Dispatcher and Cloud Connector.
• Practical SAP BTP experience including account management, connectivity, identity, and transport management.
• Familiarity with SAP EWM and SAP Cloud ALM monitoring and deployment management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize the SAP landscape running on RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity and manage incidents and changes.
• Define and review SAP BTP architecture, manage subaccounts, connectivity and IAM.

Job description

At Triangle Talent, an HR consulting firm, we are currently looking for an SAP Basis & BTP Architect to join one of our clients in the IT sector.

Mission:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & BTP Architect to take ownership of the technical foundation of the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition landscape. In this role, you will be responsible for the stability, security, performance and evolution of our SAP environment, covering SAP S/4HANA, EWM, SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

You will act as the technical authority for SAP landscape architecture, working closely with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS), project teams and business stakeholders to ensure a reliable, secure and scalable platform aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities:

1. SAP Basis & RISE Operations

• Manage and operate the SAP landscape running on RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition.
• Monitor system health, performance and capacity, and manage incidents, problems and changes.
• Plan and coordinate kernel updates, support packages, upgrades and technical patching.
• Manage transports, system copies, refreshes and client administration across DEV, QA and PRD environments.
• Oversee technical authorizations, RFC connections, trust relationships, Single Sign-On (SSO) and certificates.

2. SAP BTP & Technical Architecture

• Define and review SAP BTP architecture, including subaccounts, entitlements, connectivity, identity management and transport management.
• Design and manage integrations using SAP Cloud Connector and relevant BTP services.
• Advise on clean-core principles and extensibility strategies, including side-by-side extensions on BTP versus in-app development.
• Review system topology, sizing, transport routes, HANA configuration, system parameters and performance optimization.
• Support security, compliance, audit requirements and technical governance.

3. Project & Transformation Support

• Provide technical architecture and SAP Basis expertise for implementation, migration and rollout projects.
• Prepare and maintain environments for sandbox, build, testing, cutover and go-live activities.
• Coordinate technical provisioning requests with SAP ECS.
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, hypercare and operational handover.
• Maintain technical design documentation, operational runbooks and support procedures.

4. SAP ECS & Managed Cloud Services

• Act as the main technical interface with SAP ECS for RISE-related Basis activities.
• Raise and track service requests, incidents and changes, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed service levels and contractual responsibilities.
• Coordinate maintenance windows, downtime planning and disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) validation.
• Review availability, patching, backup and DR reports, escalating deviations when necessary.
• Ensure clear ownership boundaries between SAP ECS and internal teams.

What we're looking for:

• At least 6 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, including 2+ years working with SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with RISE with SAP or comparable managed cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA administration, SAP NetWeaver, ABAP and Java stacks, SAP Web Dispatcher and SAP Cloud Connector.
• Technical experience with SAP EWM, either embedded or decentralized, including integration aspects.
• Practical experience with SAP BTP, including account and subaccount management, connectivity, identity and authentication (IAS/IPS/XSUAA), Cloud Transport Management and Cloud Foundry.
• Familiarity with Kyma or the SAP BTP ABAP environment is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, particularly monitoring, operations, change management and deployment management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP landscape architecture, transport management, system copies, refreshes and upgrade methodologies.
• Experience working with hosting providers or managed service providers, including SLA management and service request coordination.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
