Job Description:

This engineering management role offers an opportunity for a technologist passionate about Linux and Ubuntu to build a career with Canonical and contribute to the company's success. If you have an affinity for open source development, you'll enjoy working with some of the industry's best at Canonical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and operate a contracts service supporting authentication, authorization, and delivery of Extended Security Maintenance (ESM) at scale across various devices and cloud environments via Ubuntu Advantage.
• Manage data warehouses and ingestion pipelines used by operations and analytics teams, automating processes and integrating with SaaS solutions for smooth data flow.
• Integrate the contracts service with public clouds like Azure, AWS, and GCP to provide seamless SaaS experiences, including access to ESM and support offerings.

We are looking for:

• Software engineering managers with a strong background in Salesforce and APEX.
• Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work remotely with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times a year.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing for and deploying on Ubuntu Linux in public clouds.
• Experience integrating authentication, authorization, and marketplace systems.
• Proficiency in high-level languages like Go or Python.
