About the role

As a Salesforce Architect, you will lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions tailored to the unique needs of our pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to architect features that drive business value, ensure scalability, and enhance customer engagement processes. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities and healthcare industry practices, as well as strong consulting skills. Day-to-day, you’ll be acting as a subject matter expert within Salesforce-based solutions, transforming business requirements into technical design and specifications, while coaching less experienced team members.

Leveraging your expertise, you will estimate and engineer reliable solution implementation projects, together with a Project Manager, Business Analyst, and developers, to deliver the designed solution by joining a hybrid team of internal resources, client teams, and vendors/service providers. You will act as a reference point for the technical aspects of the solution design throughout the implementation project.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of Salesforce solutions for pharma and healthcare clients, ensuring scalability and integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Provide architectural leadership and guidance for Salesforce implementation projects, including customization, integrations, and data management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including regulatory and security requirements specific to healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Design solutions that integrate life science-specific products and services to enhance data-driven decision-making and patient engagement.
• Work on projects involving Events Management, HCP engagement processes, and other relevant pharmaceutical use cases.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution roadmaps.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and solution architects on the team.
• Share knowledge across teams.

We offer this position in Spain or the UK.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect (Application/System or Technical architect certification preferred).
• Broad experience with Salesforce platform capabilities implementation.
• Experience in integrating external systems with Salesforce using various integration patterns.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with knowledge of regulations and processes.
• Designing complex, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform, including integrations and data management.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, including security, performance, and scalability.
• Consulting mindset.
• Ability to manage and oversee development/implementation teams, including offshore teams.

Additional competencies:

• A BSc or MSc from a leading university in business, computer science, finance, economics, IT, or engineering with strong academic records.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce product implementation, ideally with experience in marketing, technology, or consulting.
• Knowledge of business modeling and process documentation.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, ETL processes, data management, and segmentation best practices.
• Ability to lead workshops, requirements gathering, and design sessions.
• Experience architecting, building, and executing data feeds, platform configuration, and components for multi-channel marketing automation, reporting, and analytics.
• Knowledge of API integration with CRM platforms and web properties.
• Strategic thinking and stakeholder understanding.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Strong understanding of IQVIA or Veeva products and their Salesforce integrations (certifications preferred).
• Previous consulting experience with effective communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Life Science Cloud / Health Cloud.
• Experience with Events Management and HCP engagement in healthcare/pharmaceutical settings.
• Additional Salesforce certifications (AI, Platform Developer 2, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
• Knowledge of AI.
