Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Pool F&B Manager and Assistant F&B Director in the rejuvenation of the Food & Beverage department and oversee the hostess team across the different outlets in Six Senses Ibiza.
  • Ensure high-quality service at the pool, providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests.
  • Ensure F&B area is checked prior to opening to guests and ensure all area is clean, properly equipped and in a high standard of maintenance.
  • Oversee sunbeds ensuring prompt and efficient guest assistance.
  • Implement and maintain guest recognition program, taking special care with food likes and dislikes and allergies or special dietary requests.
  • Supervise the team in offering beverage and snack recommendations, promoting upselling opportunities.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests, ensuring quick and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Assist in the control of the outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
  • Fully understand the team goals and objectives, ensuring that the maximum is done to achieve the targets.
  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate key information, special events, and service expectations.
  • Ensure the proper setup and maintenance of sunbeds, umbrellas, and pool furniture.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to keep the pool area clean and well-maintained.
  • Communicate with the front desk and guest relations teams to manage VIP sunbed reservations and special events.
  • Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction and ensure that all guest billing procedures are handled correctly, minimizing rebates during check out and bid guest farewell.
  • Maintain and update guest history files and disbursement of relevant information ensuring guest requests and preferences and / or food allergies are implemented whenever possible.
  • Maintain efficient administration within the department preparing and submitting operational reports on time.
  • Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Upsell all resort, Wellness & Experience, and outlet facilities.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by Pool Manager.
  • Uphold Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
  • Perform any additional tasks given to me by management.

Qualification

  • Possess a minimum of two years total experience in similar hotel operational role.
  • In terms of frontline F&B supervisor, I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.
  • I am a responsive, engaged and interactive leader, capable of building strong positive relationships with hosts that results in a shared vision of success for the operation, demonstrated ability to leverage shared resources, undertake training as needed and to manage through influence.
  • Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS.
  • Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid Spanish Work Permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role.
