Sales Manager – Biogas Equipment


Location: Artea, Bilbao, or Barcelona
Sector: Renewable Energy | Biogas Technology

A pioneering clean energy technology company is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the sales of biogas upgrading and liquefaction equipment across Spain and Portugal.

This is a commercially focused role suited to someone with deep sector knowledge and a track record in selling technical capital equipment. You will be instrumental in developing the regional sales strategy, identifying new opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation and post-sale engagement.

The equipment, manufactured in-house and fully tested prior to deployment, serves a broad client base across agriculture, waste-to-energy, municipal infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The company also collaborates closely with partners offering desulphurization and methanation solutions, enabling you to offer fully integrated systems to the market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the commercial strategy for biogas equipment sales

  • Identifying and pursuing business opportunities across all sectors exposed to biogas

  • Building and maintaining relationships with project developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and public-sector clients

  • Supporting clients throughout the sales process, providing both technical and commercial guidance

  • Working closely with technical teams to capture client feedback and support product improvement

  • Monitoring market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity

  • Reporting on sales pipeline progress, market intelligence, and forecast performance

Candidate profile:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales or business development, ideally within biogas, gas treatment systems, or renewable infrastructure

  • Demonstrable success in selling capital equipment or complex technical solutions

  • Strong existing network across the biogas, utilities, and energy infrastructure ecosystem

  • Comfortable articulating technical solutions to both specialist and non-specialist stakeholders

  • Fluent in Spanish and English

  • Self-motivated, strategic, and commercially minded

  • Passionate about the energy transition and sustainable innovation
