PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales, preferably in the food & beverage sector or for marketing agencies.

Experience or knowledge of the specialty coffee industry and key players is highly advantageous. PDG Media is a specialized GTM & marketing agency focusing on the F&B sector, especially specialty coffee.

We are part of the PDG Global media group, which includes trade publications such as Perfect Daily Grind & Coffee Intelligence, and the Producer & Roaster Forum.

In 2025, we will launch a new initiative called the Global Coffee Awards. We are offering two full-time, permanent roles for candidates based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe.

The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings.

The ideal candidate should enjoy engaging with people daily, identifying business opportunities, and strategizing to close deals. You will manage the pipeline for our strategic project sales, including identifying target customers, nurturing relationships, and converting leads at the right time.

Our current and past agency clients include brands like MTPak Coffee, Hardtank, Flo-Smart, and organizations such as Guatemalan Coffees, UKAid, and Adam Smith International.

You will work closely with the COO to align sales strategies, drive new business, and meet revenue targets.

You should be comfortable communicating with clients at all levels, understanding their needs, and relaying this information to the team.

As part of a leading coffee publishing company, your responsibilities include:

  1. Working independently to meet revenue targets based on existing sales strategies.
  2. Identifying and pursuing new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  3. Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
  4. Defining and updating the ideal customer profile.
  5. Negotiating renewals with clients.
  6. Coordinating with the digital projects team for project launches.
  7. Upselling to clients across our publications.
  8. Collaborating with the publishing team on deliverables and client needs.
  9. Participating in regular sales meetings.
  10. Providing updates on revenue goals to the CEO and COO.

Essential qualifications include:

  1. At least 2 years' experience in client-facing sales or account management in the food & beverage sector or marketing agencies.
  2. A proven track record of high-value sales, possibly with long nurturing cycles.
  3. Experience managing a CRM system.
  4. Experience with email outreach tools (e.g., Apollo, Gong, Instantly).
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.

Desirable skills include:

  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  2. Experience with HubSpot and specialty coffee.
  3. Experience with lead generation tools (e.g., Clay, Snov.io, Zoominfo).
  4. Proficiency with G Suite.
  5. Experience working with international teams.
