A leading company in lithium-ion battery technology is seeking a results-driven Utility-Scale BESS Sales Manager to enhance their presence in the Spanish market. The role involves managing sales cycles, identifying new opportunities, and developing key relationships within the energy sector. Candidates should have a strong technical background along with proven experience in sales and business development in energy storage or related industries.

Formación

  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in energy storage, renewables, or power infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in selling technical solutions ideally BESS or related electrical systems.

Our client is a is a global leader in lithium-ion battery technology and energy storage solutions. With a strong presence across North America, Asia, and Europe, they design and deliver high-performance battery systems that support grid-scale storage, renewable energy integration, and power quality applications.

Role :

They are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Utility-Scale BESS Sales Manager to lead sales of our battery modules and containerized solutions in the Spanish market. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new customers, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth across Spain, focusing on developers, EPCs, and utilities deploying grid-scale storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of A123’s utility-scale BESS products (battery modules, racks, and containerized solutions) to developers, EPCs, IPPs, and utilities across Spain, leading the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, build a strong pipeline, and close high-value deals in line with revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, procurement teams, and technical decision-makers, to grow strategic accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity to shape commercial strategy and identify areas for growth.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and project management teams to ensure technical alignment with customer needs and support tailored bid proposals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in energy storage, renewables, or power infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in selling technical solutions (ideally BESS or related electrical systems) to EPCs, developers, or utilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Spanish energy market and utility-scale procurement processes.
