As a Sales Engineer focused on Industrial Customers, you will be responsible for developing strong customer and sales channel partnerships and playing a strategic role in delivering innovative products and turnkey solutions in the Iberian Market.

As a Sales Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  1. Develop and manage relationships with SEL customers in industrial sectors.
  2. Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers and communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
  3. Build and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teach customers about SEL technology and innovation.
  4. Develop strategic annual plans for the Iberian Market.
  5. Read and interpret project specifications and technical drawings.
  6. Understand terms and conditions to deliver solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with SEL standards and requirements.
  7. Develop, maintain, and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
  8. Collect, analyze, and report industry, competitor, and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
  9. Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedback and product issues.
  10. Liaise between customers, SEL factories, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
  11. Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking, and sales activities.

This job might be for you if you possess the following:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales.
  • 3 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment related to industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated success working in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Effective and engaging communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to manage client expectations, align on terms, and secure contracts that meet both customer and SEL objectives.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using SEL products.

Location

This position is located in our Madrid, Spain office, near the Ramon y Cajal train station, with excellent access to metro and bus transport.
