Formación

  • 8+ años de experiencia progresiva en roles de contabilidad/finanzas.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our US CFO team to coordinate all US accounting affairs relating to our renewables operations in North America and contribute to the delivery of quality financial reporting to management, under general guidance and direction of the CFO Renewables North America and in coordination with corporate teams in Madrid.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and lead the provision of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes reporting packages, assist with the corporate consolidation process.
  2. Oversee the preparation and issuance of quarterly and annual financial statements.
  3. Planning and supervision of the accounting and administration process.
  4. Provide accurate P&L, cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure reporting at project and portfolio levels.
  5. Establish and maintain accounting policies, leading practices and procedures to ensure US GAAP and IFRS compliance.
  6. Support project acquisitions, financing and asset rotations.
  7. Manage the external audit process.
  8. Set up and manage Internal Controls.
  9. Lead the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be authorized to work in the US for any US employer.
  2. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting or related field.
  3. 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting / finance roles.
  4. CPA required.
  5. Knowledge and experience with SAP systems highly preferred.
  6. Strong analytical skills.
  7. Excellent verbal / written communications skills.
  8. Team player able to thrive in a cross-cultural environment.
  9. Exceptional management, planning and administrative skills are required.
  10. Prior work experience in the renewables sector is a plus.
  11. Participating in internal finance department discussions recommending accounting policies and procedures to CFO and / or corporate teams.
  12. Represent US business unit in discussions with corporate accounting and leadership teams.
  13. Build understanding of complex business and financing structures used in renewable energy projects.
  14. Joining the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA) and participating in the training program to maintain Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
