About the job

We're seeking an experienced Travel Agent with deep expertise in the Sabre GDS system to join our team as an In-House GDS Specialist. If you're passionate about travel technology and excited about the idea of shaping the future of travel booking solutions, we'd love to hear from you!

Experience: Highly skilled in Sabre GDS (cryptic mandatory, graphic desirable), with a strong focus on leisure itineraries. Corporate travel background a plus.

Company: Fast-growing, VC-funded B2B AI SaaS startup.

Role: Connect traditional travel booking with AI technologies, collaborating with Product and Engineering.

Requirements: Legal work authorization in Barcelona required.

What You’ll Do at Acai

1. Sabre GDS Expertise: Collaborate closely with our Product Managers and Engineers to bring your extensive knowledge of the Sabre GDS system to the forefront of our LLM-powered products. Your insights will be crucial in designing tools that travel agencies love.
2. Quality Assurance: Play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our products. You'll manually validate responses from our LLMs, ensuring that our solutions deliver high-quality results that meet the complex needs of travel professionals.
3. Industry Insights: Act as our in-house expert on the intricacies of travel bookings. You'll apply your deep travel industry expertise to develop cutting-edge AI solutions.
4. Bridge the Gap: Serve as the bridge between traditional travel booking methods and cutting-edge AI technology. Your experience will guide the development of innovative tools that streamline travel agency operations.
5. Innovation Focus: Embrace a new challenge by moving beyond traditional travel agent tasks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of travel technology and make a lasting impact on the industry.

What We’re Looking For

1. Sabre GDS Mastery: Extensive experience with the Sabre GDS system, particularly in Cryptic mode; Graphic mode knowledge is preferred.
2. NDC Knowledge: A strong understanding of New Distribution Capability (NDC) is a huge plus.
3. OTA Experience: Proven experience working in an OTA.
4. CRM Proficiency: Experience working with CRM systems such as Zendesk, Genesys, Kustomer, or similar platforms.
5. Travel Industry Guru: Strong background in travel bookings, with deep knowledge of the end-to-end process, from itinerary searches to cancellations and refunds.
6. Diverse Travel Expertise: Proficiency in leisure travel; corporate travel sectors is a plus. You understand the unique requirements and processes for each type of booking.
7. Tech-Savvy Mindset: While you're an expert in traditional travel tools, you're excited about transitioning into the AI and tech industry. You're eager to collaborate with engineers and product teams to shape the future of travel solutions.
8. Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to Quality Assurance, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
9. Effective Communicator: Ability to clearly communicate complex travel concepts to technical and non-technical team members in English.
10. Travelfusion Knowledge: Experience with Travelfusion is a plus.
