The Lead Ruby on Rails Software Engineer will join an established US education-technology company with global reach. You will own technical architecture, drive delivery of complex software, mentor engineers, and lead cross-team initiatives.

You will oversee Rails applications, APIs, and scalable web systems while shaping best practices, security models, and tech direction across engineering teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Formación

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience designing and scaling APIs, distributed systems, and web apps.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Git and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong English communication and mentoring skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architecture, design, and development of Ruby on Rails applications.
• Plan and oversee large technical projects with multiple teams.
• Coordinate tasks across complex cross-team initiatives.
• Set coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior to senior engineers and drive growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Identify technical risks and drive resolution strategies.
• Prototyping and researching future platform improvements.
