We are working with a product‑led company looking to hire a Senior Rails Developer to play a key role in scaling and evolving their backend systems. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership and impact across engineering and product.

The Role

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer, you’ll be instrumental in building and maintaining core systems that support a high‑scale, always‑on platform.

You’ll be responsible for

• Developing and maintaining backend systems and internal tools
• Translating business goals into scalable technical solutions
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving live systems (24/7 environment)
• Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for smoother deployments
• Driving improvements in architecture, performance, and scalability
• Integrating and maintaining third‑party APIs

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience working on high‑scale, production systems
• Strong understanding of software design principles & best practices
• Proven ability to think strategically and align tech with business goals
• Ownership mindset with a proactive, problem‑solving approach
• Experience working with large datasets and third‑party integrations

Nice to Have

• Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Hotwire
• Knowledge of mobile ad monetisation ecosystems
• Strong background in unit & integration testing
