Job summary

SUPCON is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to lead on-site and remote integration of robot systems, focusing on ROS/ROS2 and system architecture. You will configure maps, localization, and interfaces with customers’ WMS/MES/ERP and PLCs, while designing automation workflows using FSMs or Behavior Trees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Robotics, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in robot software development, system integration, or technical support.
• Programming Languages: Python or C++.
• Robotics Middleware: ROS1/ROS2.
• System Integration: MQTT, HTTP, gRPC, etc.
• System Debugging: debug across software, network, hardware boundaries.
• Travel up to approximately 70% within Europe.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site and remote integration of robot systems, focusing on the software stack (ROS/ROS2) and architecture design.
• Configure navigation maps, SLAM/localization, and interfaces between robot systems and customer infrastructure (WMS/MES/ERP, PLCs, etc.).
• Design and implement workflows for automation using FSMs or Behavior Trees.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support, diagnosing issues across software, network, and integration layers.
• Analyze navigation anomalies, communication failures, and software performance using log tools and Wireshark.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and coordinate with R&D for permanent fixes.
• Monitor robot fleet metrics and develop data-driven optimization plans.
• Provide training and write technical docs and operation manuals.
• Feedback customer requirements to R&D for product iteration.
