Job summary

THEKER Robotics seeks a Software Engineer, Robotics Deployment to carry a robotic use case from bench experiments into real production plants. You will join small teams, scale deployments across sites, and become the customer’s software counterpart as you own subsystems like vision or metrics.

You will inherit a Python and ROS2 stack, fix bugs, ship small features, and eventually lead on-site validation and scale-up. This role is entirely on-site in Barcelona with travel to customer plants.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required; solid day-to-day Python experience.
• Proven ability to work with code written by others: maintenance, integration, or extension.
• Structured troubleshooting with reproducible fixes and measured results.
• Clear written communication in commits, logs, and handovers.
• Fluent Spanish and good English; driving licence; travel to customer plants.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate; 100% on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Own a robotic use case from bench to production plants.
• Fix bugs and ship features in a large Python/ROS2 codebase.
• Diagnose issues on running systems using logs and ROS2 data.
• Prepare plant environments and run on-site validation with a metrics report.
• Lead scale-up to more robots and sites; act as customer software counterpart.
• Maintain backlog and write change requests to internal maintainers.
