Offer Description

ARQUIMEA , we are a technology company operating globally and providing innovate solutions and products in highly demanding sectors.

Our areas of activity are Aerospace, Defense & Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech.

AtARQUIMEA Research Center (ARC), part of ARQUIMEA , we are at the forefront of innovation in robotics, leveraging a model-based design philosophy to integrate mechanical, electrical, control, and electromagnetic systems into a unified development pipeline. Our multidisciplinary team is driven by simulation-first engineering practices, enabling rapid iteration, high fidelity prototyping, and system-level optimization

We are lookingto expand our team with a Robotics Simulation Engineer who is passionate about creating digital ecosystems for advanced robotic systems.

As a Robotics Simulation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining high-fidelity simulation environments for our robotic platforms. You will be responsible for incorporating our proprietary actuator digital twin into leading simulation platforms such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, and similar tools. Your work will directly impact the performance evaluation, design validation, and control development across the full lifecycle of robotic systems.

Tasks to be performed:

  • Integrate and validate the company’s proprietary actuator digital twin into physics-based simulators (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation models of full robotic platforms, with attention to multi-domain fidelity (mechanical, electrical, control).
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, control, and software engineers to co-develop and validate cross-domain simulation environments.
  • Contribute to the development of model-based workflows for simulation-based verification, virtual commissioning, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) scenarios.
  • Optimize simulation performance and realism for both research and real-time applications.
  • Support the development and deployment of control algorithms within the simulation environment.
  • Participate in agile planning meetings and contribute to the agile-based work management tools.

Required skills, experience and candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics or a related field, or industry experience equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in robotic simulation and modeling.
  • Proficiency in at least two robotic simulation environments (e.g., MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Webots, CoppeliaSim).
  • Solid understanding of rigid-body dynamics, kinematics, control systems, and sensor modeling.
  • Strong experience in integrating physical actuator or system models into simulation platforms.
  • Programming experience in Python and C++.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2-based system integration.
  • You must enjoy working in a research-oriented environment.
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset. Open to challenges.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills focused on teamwork and collaboration
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written. Spanish is a plus.
  • We are also looking for a good person, someone who thrives working in multidisciplinary and ever-changing environments.
  • The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.

Additionally, we will also value experience in the following areas:

  • Exerience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or tools like Simulink, Modelica, or SysML.
  • Background in working with digital twins, especially for actuators or sensors.
  • Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing workflows.
  • Familiarity with GPU-based simulation acceleration (e.g., Isaac Sim on Omniverse).
  • Experience with real-world robotic systems and transitioning from simulation to deployment.
