Zusammenfassung

ICEYE is seeking an RF Test Engineer in Valencia to capture, characterize, and replay real emitter signals for a satellite-channel simulation environment. You will build and calibrate end-to-end RF test hardware and software, driving lab-based validation across multiple satellites with Doppler, delay and path loss.

You’ll work in a hybrid lab setting with security screening as required. As one of the first engineers in the Experimentation Lab, you’ll shape the library of real emitter signals,

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on RF measurement with spectrum analyzers, SDRs and oscilloscopes.
• Experience building or integrating RF record/playback or hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Solid DSP fundamentals: sampling, I/Q, filtering, Doppler, timing effects.
• Python for instrument control and automation, with SCPI/VISA and SDR APIs.
• Calibration discipline: reference planes, path loss and phase characterization.

Aufgaben

• Capture real emissions from lab and field for library entry with I/Q data.
• Characterise captures with metadata and truth for reuse by others.
• Build and calibrate the RF record/playback chain and multi-emitter playback.
• Develop channel simulator paths with per-satellite delay, Doppler, loss, inter‑ference.
• Develop test hardware and Python control scripts for automation.
• Support end-to-end lab loop with RF stimulus and validation campaigns.
• Ensure operations are lawful and safe with regulator and site requirements.
