Searches @ Wenham Carter is seeking an RF Team Lead to direct RF testing and integration efforts in Valencia, Spain. The role combines hands-on testing with technical leadership, mentoring a small team on the bench while driving end-to-end RF campaigns.

The successful candidate will have a formal RF/electronics engineering background and demonstrate deep RF test experience, including anechoic chamber work and RF measurement tools, with strong systems engineering exposure.

• Formal engineering background in RF/electronics (degree-level).
• Proven hands-on RF test experience in anechoic chamber and with RF measurement equipment.
• Working knowledge of systems engineering; solid in RF or systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead RF testing in anechoic chamber and on the test floor with technicians.
• Own RF test campaigns end-to-end: planning, execution, troubleshooting, sign-off.
• Bridge RF and systems engineering and depth in at least one area.
• Mentor a small team of test technicians and lead by bench example.

We're hiring an RF Team Lead for a growing manufacturer of high-value, critical hardware. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who wants to lead a team whilst being hands on.

What you'll do

• Lead RF testing of high-value hardware in an anechoic chamber, working directly alongside technicians on the test floor
• Own RF test campaigns end-to-end: planning, execution, troubleshooting, and sign-off
• Bridge RF and systems engineering - you'll need working knowledge of both, with genuine depth in at least one
• Mentor and guide a small team of test technicians, leading by example on the bench, not just in meetings
• Interface with systems engineering to resolve RF-related integration issues through the assembly, integration and test flow

What we’re looking for

• A formal engineering background in RF/electronics (degree-level), not just general systems exposure
• Proven hands-on RF test experience - anechoic chamber testing, RF measurement equipment, and troubleshooting at the hardware level
• Working knowledge of systems engineering; equally at home in RF or systems, provided both are solid
• Experience that could come from a technician or senior technician background who has progressed with strong practical capability, or an engineer who has moved into a lead role without losing the hands-on edge
• Comfortable leading a team while remaining a genuine technical contributor - this is not a pure coordination role
