DEKRA España in Madrid is seeking a Senior RF Testing Engineer to lead RF testing projects and drive automation initiatives. You will execute conformance and performance tests for cellular and wireless technologies, analyse results, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of testing assignments.

The role requires hands-on experience with RF test platforms, strong scripting skills in Python, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and certification environments, including RF/wireless testing labs.
• Experience with QA processes or project management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of RF testing parameters, 3GPP, Bluetooth, and Wi‑Fi test plans.
• Experience with RF test platforms and Python scripting for automation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with teamwork and adaptability.

As a Senior RF Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Performing RF testing on devices using cellular and other wireless technologies.
• Executing conformance and performance tests according to industry standards.
• Developing test automation and scripting solutions to improve testing efficiency.
• Analysing test results, logs and technical data to identify issues and determine test verdicts.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of testing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform RF conformance and performance testing following established procedures.
• Ensure the accuracy, quality and reliability of test results.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to testing activities.
• Work closely with internal engineering teams and the client.
• Support project planning and execution within agreed timelines.
• Participate in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and certification environments, including previous experience in RF or wireless testing laboratories and hands‑on experience with cellular and wireless technologies.
• Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) processes or Project Management will be considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of RF testing parameters, industry testing specifications, 3GPP requirements, Bluetooth specifications, and Wi‑Fi Alliance test plans.
• Experience with wireless and cellular testing methodologies, RF test platforms such as Rohde & Schwarz CMW/CMX or Keysight UXM, test log analysis, technical troubleshooting, telecommunication interfaces (AT Commands and chipset logging tools), and Python scripting for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive and business‑oriented mindset.
