Job summary

Elawan Energy is seeking a Revenue Management & PPA Origination Associate based at our Madrid HQ with 2 to 4 years in the energy sector to support the development of the company's commercial strategy and maximize revenues across its renewable energy portfolio.

You will analyze energy markets, participate in PPAs, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize revenue streams from storage, hydro, solar and wind assets in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Required education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related fields).
• Preferred education: Master’s Degree in the Electricity Industry, Energy Markets, Renewable Energy, or similar areas.
• Required professional experience: 2 to 4 years in energy, in revenue management, energy markets, or PPA origination.
• Required knowledge: Energy markets, regulatory frameworks, pricing mechanisms and renewable energy commercialization.
• Other added values: Energy market analysis, auction processes, environmental attributes markets, financial modelling.
• Language: English (advanced level, written and spoken) is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze energy market regulations and dynamics in new geographies, including pricing mechanisms and regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor and assess RFPs and auctions for PPAs and support negotiation and execution.
• Define strategies to optimize revenues from Elawan's portfolio across storage, hydro, solar and wind assets.
• Develop strategies for commercialization of environmental attributes and certificates and negotiate related agreements.
• Prepare the annual energy revenue budget and monitor income from electricity and related products.
• Collaborate with Investment & M&A, Operations and Legal teams and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain relationships with external counterparties including customers and service providers.

Based at Elawan Energy’s headquarters in Madrid, the Revenue Management & PPA Origination Team is looking for a Revenue Management & PPA Origination Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in the energy sector, to support the development of the company's commercial strategy and maximize revenues across its renewable energy portfolio.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyze energy market regulations and dynamics in new geographies, including pricing mechanisms, revenue structures, current regulatory frameworks, and key drivers influencing market evolution.
• Monitor and assess RFPs and renewable energy auctions for projects under development and operation, supporting the negotiation and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
• Define business strategies to optimize revenues from Elawan's portfolio, including storage, hydro, solar, and wind assets, under existing commercial arrangements and regulatory schemes.
• Develop strategies for the commercialization of environmental attributes and certificates, and participate in the negotiation of related agreements.
• Prepare the annual energy revenue budget and monitor income generated from the sale of electricity and associated products.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments, particularly Investment & M&A, Operations, and Legal teams.
• Maintain relationships with external counterparties, including customers, off-takers, consultants, and service providers.

Your profile

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

• Required education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related fields).
• Preferred education: Master’s Degree in the Electricity Industry, Energy Markets, Renewable Energy, or similar areas.
• Required professional experience: 2 to 4 years of experience within the energy industry, preferably in revenue management, energy markets, commercial strategy, PPA origination, or related activities.
• Required knowledge: Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, pricing mechanisms, revenue models, and renewable energy commercialization.
• Other added values: Experience with energy market analysis, auction processes, environmental attributes markets, and financial modelling.
• Language: English (advanced level, written and spoken) is required.
