An established industry player is seeking a self-employed Food Safety Auditor to conduct audits in Spain or Portugal. This flexible role allows you to manage your own schedule, with the potential for 1 to 2 days of work per week, depending on client needs. Job Title: Food Safety Auditor (Self-Employed Contractor) - Spain or Portugal

This role operates as a Self-Employed Contractor, covering work as a Food Safety Auditor in Spain or Portugal. It is not an employed position and offers between 1 to 2 days of work per week.

You will be responsible for delivering non-accredited food safety audits for the Retail & Hospitality Food and Beverage Team in your region.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant courses in sciences or food technology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing.

Training: Training will be provided for these specific audits.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality assessments, audits, and inspections that meet customer-specific requirements efficiently and professionally.
  • Providing your monthly availability for the proposed work.
  • Planning and managing your work within the agreed timescales with clients.
  • Completing retail food safety audits in accordance with legal and client requirements, aligned with country codes.
  • Completing audit reports immediately after audits and submitting them on the same day.
  • Correcting and updating reports within 12 hours upon request.
  • Keeping your Line Manager / Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
  • Allowing shadow and witness audits from clients or senior team members as required.
  • Maintaining Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and undertaking additional training as needed.
  • Maintaining high IT skills and providing your own laptop or tablet for work.

This is a self-employed contractor role, with the number of days determined by your availability. We ideally seek approximately 12 audit days per week, as per client needs.
