Playnetic is looking for a Legal Gaming Counsel to support our Chief Legal Officer in navigating the legal and regulatory landscape of the gaming industry. If you have strong experience in commercial contracts, gaming regulations, and risk management, this is an opportunity to shape the legal function of a growing iGaming business.

About the Role

As our Legal Gaming Counsel, you will focus on drafting and negotiating B2B contracts with aggregators and operators while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations across multiple jurisdictions. You will also provide legal support to internal teams, including compliance, HR, finance, tech, and product.

This is a hands-on role requiring a commercially minded legal professional who can work autonomously, manage risk, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Agreements – Draft, review, and negotiate B2B contracts with aggregators and operators.
• Regulatory & Compliance Support – Assist in navigating licensing and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Cross-Department Legal Support – Advise on employment law, intellectual property, data protection, and general corporate matters.
• Risk Management – Identify and mitigate legal risks in commercial and operational decisions.
• Contract Management – Implement a structured system for contract storage, renewals, and compliance tracking.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams and external counsel to align legal strategies with business objectives.
• Industry Awareness – Monitor regulatory changes and ensure Playnetic remains compliant with evolving legal requirements.

About You

• Qualified solicitor / lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience in the gaming industry (at least 2-3 years working in a gaming company).
• Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation within the iGaming or tech sector.
• Knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance frameworks in key jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
• Commercially aware, pragmatic, and confident in decision-making.

• Experience in intellectual property, employment law, and data protection.
• Background in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with international teams.
