Yugo, a trusted name in student housing, seeks an experienced Residence Manager to lead a dynamic team of Yugoers. You will be responsible for the student space's budget, occupancy, and guest experience, while driving sales and marketing initiatives to maximize occupancy and profitability.

You will manage operations with a focus on safety, compliance, and excellent student experiences, building relationships with universities and suppliers and coordinating the student lifecycle from arrival

Formación

• Experience running a residence within hotels, university/college environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build quality relationships.
• Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on sales and marketing.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; willingness to undertake Carbon Literacy training.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure the student space runs smoothly.
• Take full responsibility for budget and P&L and the property's financial performance.
• Manage costs and maximize profit while ensuring occupancy through short- and long-term lets.
• Drive sales and marketing activities to fill the student space and optimize channels.
• Handle complaints and deliver excellent student experiences; maintain safe, compliant operations.
• Develop relationships with local universities and suppliers; oversee the student lifecycle from arrival to turnover.

Reporting to the Area Manager here is a snapshot of what you will do:

• Use your upbeat, outgoing personality to lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure that the student space is running smoothly
• Take full responsibility for the budget and P&L, and the financial performance of the student space.
• You’ll cross all the T’s and dot the I’s, to and ensure you are managing costs and maximizing profit for the property
• Follow up on all sales opportunities and ensure the student space is at capacity through short term and long term lets
• Drive sales and marketing activities to ensure the student space is full and all marketing channels have been utilized to their full potential
• Manage ‘the good’ and turn around the ‘not so good’ - meaning you will handle complaints and offer excellent student experiences to your students
• Use your advanced knowledge of safety, security, compliance, and building management to ensure core operating procedures are adhered to, followed up on and we are providing a safe secure home to our students
• Maintain and develop relationships with key players at the local universities, as well as internal and external suppliers – again here is that winning personality!
• Be a smooth operator and ensure the smooth running of the operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival, departure, and summer turnaround

• Relevant experience running a residence within hotels, university/college
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationships
• Experience within a fast-paced, target driven environment with a strong focus on sales and marketing
• Being able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English.
• Qualification and/or willingness to undertake training for Carbon Literacy
