A renowned Spanish university is seeking a Researcher to focus on the development of biosensors using graphene-based technologies. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science and offers a full-time contract. Candidates will assist with the preparation of nanostructures under the guidance of a principal investigator. Strong academic records and relevant research experience are essential. This role has a flexible schedule and is funded through Horizon 2020.

Job title: Development of biosensors based on graphene field-effect transistors for the detection of emerging viruses

JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 14:30h and from 15:30h to 17:30h at CICA
a) Tasks to be performed
The tasks to be carried out will focus on supporting the principal investigator in the preparation of carbon nanostructures and graphene transistors with biomolecules.
b) Duration of the contract:
The contract is indefinite until the end of the project.
c) Requirements of candidates - Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Nanoscience, Pharmacy, etc.).

d) Selection and evaluation criteria
- Bachelor's Degree academic record. In the case of having other degrees, the score will be weighted according to the number of credits of each degree as follows: (CT1*NT1 + CT2*NT2)/(CT1 + CT2); being CT: number of credits of the degree and NT the degree file. Maximum 25 points.
-Master's academic record. In the case of having other degrees, the score will be weighted according to the number of credits of each degree as follows: (CT1*NT1 + CT2*NT2)/(CT1 + CT2); being CT: number of credits of the degree and NT the degree file. Maximum 25 points.
- Demonstrated experience in research related to chemistry, biology and/or nanotechnology. 5 points/month, maximum 25 points.
- Personal interview. maximum 25 points.
The interview will only be carried out with the two people with the highest score, who exceed a minimum of 50 points in the previous sections. The interview will be face-to-face or telematic if requested by the candidate.
Candidates will be summoned for the interview at least 48 hours in advance. Minimum grade to be a beneficiary of the contract, 70 points.
The position may be vacated in the event that there is no candidate with a score higher than 70 points.
A waiting list will be created with those candidates who have reached the minimum score set by the call.
