JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: Faculty of Health Sciences. Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and Monday from 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
TASKS TO BE DEVELOPED
The candidate who obtains the position subject of this call will join as a full-time research support technician in the Research Group in Gerontology and Geriatrics (GIGG) of the University of A Coruña, to carry out activities in the framework of the project “SECONDS-GALES: Language as a tool for early detection of neurocognitive disorders in institutionalized speakers of Galician and Spanish”. He/she will have a curricular and/or professional profile linked to one of the following areas: clinical linguistics, speech therapy, neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience or gerontology/geriatrics, and will actively collaborate in all project activities, both in data collection and in their statistical analysis and interpretation.
Specific tasks:
- Literature review.
- Conducting and correcting neuropsychological assessments and screening for cognitive impairment in the institutionalised population of the Galician community.
- Data recording and creation of databases for statistical exploitation.
- Writing of results reports and scientific-technical reports.
Bachelor's degree, architecture, engineering, technical architecture or technical engineering.
Eligibility criteria
WORK/ RESEARCH EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THE PROJECT (Max. 7 points)
- Accredited work/research experience in clinical linguistics, speech therapy, neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience or gerontology/geriatrics: 0.25 points per year (Max. 3 points).
- Experience as researcher/collaborator in competitive projects (clinical linguistics, speech therapy, neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience or gerontology/geriatrics): 1 point each (full time); 0.5 point each (part time) (Max. 3 points).
- Impact publications (JCR) (Max. 3 points).
o Publications related to the subject matter of the project (from any of the areas indicated in the evaluation criteria: speech therapy, neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience or gerontology/geriatrics): 1 point each in first authorship, 0.5 points each in other positions.
ACCREDITED ACADEMIC TRAINING (Max. 10 points)
- Specific courses < 10 hours: 0.5 points each, Specific courses > 10 hours or degree courses: 1 point each; Higher category courses: 2 points.
- Training in adult speech and language disorders: Max. 2 points
- Training in Bi-/Multi-lingualism: Max. 2 points
- Training in Experimental Methodology in the field of clinical linguistics, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics and related areas: Max. 2 points
- Training in speech and language data processing and analysis programs (e.g., Python, PsychoPy, Praat, CLAN): Max. 2 points
- Proficiency in statistical software in health sciences: Max. 2 points OTHER MERITS (Max. 3 points)
- Languages accredited according to the Common Framework of Reference for Languages: o Spoken and written English: level B2 or higher: Max. 2 points o Spoken and written Galician: level C1 (Celga 4) or higher: Max. 1 point.
Minimum score to be placed on the waiting list: 10 points.
