An esteemed research university in Spain seeks a part-time Chemistry Researcher to support a research project focused on electrophilic activation reactions. JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CICA from 9:00 a 14:00 Monday to Friday.

The tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary of this contract will support the development of the objectives of the aforementioned research project. Specifically: (1) electrophilic activation reactions of unsaturated systems through catalysis with Group 13 metals; (2) indium organometallics in cross-coupling reactions; (3) synthesis of BODIPY derivatives using Group 13 metal and organometallic complexes for biomedical purposes

– Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (up to 4 points based on academic transcript). A minimum average grade of 7 out of 10 is required.

– Postgraduate Master's degree in Chemistry (2 points).

– Research experience in an Organic Synthesis laboratory, working with air-sensitive compounds, especially organometallic compounds (maximum 2 points, up to 1 point per year).

– Interview (up to 2 points). It will only be conducted if the candidate meets the minimum grade requirement in the academic transcript.

Based on the fulfilment of the requirements and the assessment of the merits, a prioritized order of the candidates will be established. The candidate with the highest score will be awarded the position. With the rest of the candidates and respecting this order of priority, in accordance with the merits, a waiting list will be drawn up, exclusively for this position, which will be used for recruitment in the event of resignation, termination or leave due to temporary disability of the selected person. The minimum score required for the waiting list is 5 points, excluding the interview.
