University of A Coruña is seeking a Researcher to join the CITIC staff network on a permanent contract. The role involves managing and monitoring the high-capacity data centre, virtualisation infrastructure, servers, and network storage, with emphasis on system security and uptime.

The position supports research efforts in AI, data science, HPC, smart services and cybersecurity, reporting to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer. Expected start 1 Nov 2026.

Formación

• Mandatory Vocational Training (FP) qualification or higher.
• Up-to-date employment history report and employment contracts (or RETA registration for self-employed).
• Certificates issued by the relevant official body for research projects.
• Official language proficiency certificate (e.g., CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI).
• Meeting the requirements specified in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff (Chapter 6).

Responsabilidades

• Support for the management and control of CITIC’s high‑capacity data centre, including updates and monitoring of maintenance contracts.
• Support for the administration of the virtualisation infrastructure, including resource allocation and monitoring of activity.
• Server monitoring and administration, responding to hardware and software failures.
• Support for the management of network storage systems.
• Installation and maintenance of security systems to prevent attacks and unauthorised access.
• Backup management for the Centre’s critical components.
• Management of network access for researchers and servers, acting as the point of contact with the UDC’s network services.
• Support for the maintenance and monitoring of the servers providing services to the Centre (document management, web, storage, etc.).
• Propose and coordinate changes to improve the operation of systems and applications.
• Technical support for Centre staff.

Educación

Vocational Training (FP) qualification or equivalent or higher level
