The University of A Coruña invites applications for a permanent, full‑time laboratory support role at CITIC, Elviña Campus, to manage the high‑capacity data centre, virtualisation infrastructure, networks and storage.

Responsibilities include monitoring hardware and software, implementing security measures, backups, and coordinating maintenance with researchers and IT services, all within the framework of the EU-aligned research strategy.

Formación

• FP qualification or higher is required.
• Official language certificates (CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) required.
• Certificates from official bodies for research projects may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Support for CITIC’s high‑capacity data centre management and maintenance contracts.
• Support for virtualisation infrastructure administration, including resources allocation and monitoring.
• Server monitoring and administration, addressing hardware and software failures.
• Assist in managing network storage systems and access for researchers.
• Install and maintain security systems to prevent attacks and unauthorised access.
• Manage backups for Centre components and coordinate recovery.
• Coordinate changes to improve systems and applications operation.
• Provide technical support to Centre staff.

Educación

Vocational Training (FP) qualification or equivalent or higher level

Official language proficiency certificate (CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI)

Certificates issued by the relevant official body for research projects
