Job summary

Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a Research Engineer to coordinate atmospheric composition forecasting and reanalysis activities within the AC group of the Earth Sciences department. You will help develop and maintain MONARCH, support data assimilation, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

The role offers a full-time position at BSC in Barcelona, with opportunities for training and collaboration across international projects and partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field is required or valued.
• Experience coordinating technical activities and teams is essential.
• Familiarity with HPC, Python/Fortran, and data assimilation workflows is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the production of atmospheric composition forecasts and reanalyses.
• Lead planning, task tracking, and milestone reporting for CAMS2_40bis and related projects.
• Ensure quality assurance and efficient operation of production systems and data workflows.
