Job Description

Dow Jones is looking for a Research Editor to join our Due Diligence team responsible for creating high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using publicly available sources and proprietary databases. As a Research Editor, you will ensure reports meet client requirements in accuracy and timeliness by adhering to Dow Jones quality standards. You will contribute to creating, maintaining, and testing guidelines, data, and tools to support the team in producing high-quality data. You may also assist other teams in Data Strategy with special projects based on your skills and knowledge. You will report to the Manager, Due Diligence Research. The position is temporary for 6 weeks, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure reports are timely, complete, and accurate.
  2. Summarize complex information from other languages into English.
  3. Compile and summarize information from multiple sources, ensuring clarity and conciseness.
  4. Perform testing of new or enhanced system and product functionalities.
  5. Support training of future team members.
  6. Contribute to team and product-initiated projects.

Qualifications

  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics.
  • Strong research skills, including online search tools.
  • Openness to different views and appreciation for team diversity.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in Due Diligence.
  • Specialist legal, business, or financial knowledge.
