KoskmetikOn Labify® in the Barcelona area is seeking a Technical Director to lead and develop the R&D function, combining cosmetic science, formulation, and product development. This senior role demands steering the technical team and coordinating cross‑functional activities to deliver advanced cosmetic products.

The candidate should have solid R&D and formulation experience, strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, and the ability to manage projects and teams.

• Solid experience in cosmetic R&D and formulation.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and product development.
• Experience managing R&D projects and/or technical teams.
• Analytical, organised and hands‑on approach.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, regulatory, purchasing and commercial teams.
• Fluent Spanish and English; Catalan is a plus.
• Based in or willing to work in the Barcelona area.

One of our customers, a growing cosmetics company in the Barcelona area, is looking for a Technical Director to lead and develop its R&D function.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced cosmetics professional who wants to take a key role in the technical development of a company and work at the intersection of cosmetic science, formulation, innovation and product development.

Your role

You will be responsible for leading the company’s technical and R&D activities, including:

• Development and optimisation of cosmetic formulations
• Management and coordination of R&D projects
• Technical documentation and product specifications
• Evaluation of raw materials, ingredients and suppliers
• Collaboration with suppliers, laboratories and external partners
• Driving innovation and new product development
• Coordination of the technical/R&D team
