Barcelona Supercomputing Center in Barcelona seeks a highly motivated data steward to join the Life Sciences Department's TechBioLab. You will develop and implement data and software management plans to support national and European research projects.

You will promote FAIR data practices, support data sharing, and provide training across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring data quality, security, and long-term accessibility.

Formación

• Experience in data stewardship and research data management.
• Familiarity with FAIR data principles and data quality management.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of data management practices and software quality in research contexts.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the development and implementation of data and software management plans for research projects.
• Support data sharing, interoperability and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, within the organisation and with external partners.
• Promote and implement good practices in research data management and stewardship, ensuring data are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.
• Contribute to initiatives on research software quality, including promoting FAIR software practices and standards.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of data governance frameworks and procedures to ensure data quality and security.
• Provide training and support to researchers and project partners on data management practices, tools and standards.
• Monitor developments in data management, FAIR data and Open Science, contributing to continuous improvement of internal practices and services.
• Contribute to planning, coordination and monitoring of tasks, milestones and deliverables across national and European projects.
