Haybury is seeking a Data Steward to govern externally sourced data assets used across a global organisation. You will document, catalogue and manage data assets, collaborating with analytics, data operations and governance teams to improve data quality and discoverability.

You will engage with vendors and stakeholders to ensure compliant data management practices, while exploring opportunities to maximise value and reuse of third-party data across the enterprise.

Formación

• Experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship or Metadata Management
• Experience with data catalogues and metadata frameworks
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams
• Experience coordinating with external vendors or data providers
• Excellent English communication

Responsabilidades

• Support teams globally with documentation, onboarding and lifecycle management of external data assets
• Create and maintain high-quality metadata and business documentation within enterprise data catalogs
• Partner with analytics, data operations and governance teams to improve transparency and discoverability of external datasets
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve data quality issues, manage updates and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities to maximise value and reuse of third-party data across the organisation
• Support research into new external data sources and emerging datasets
• Work closely with business stakeholders, procurement, governance and external suppliers to ensure effective data management practices

Are you passionate about data governance, metadata management and creating transparency across complex data ecosystems?

We're looking for a Data Steward to play a key role in managing and governing externally sourced data assets used by teams across a global organisation. This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of business, analytics, governance and vendor relationships, helping ensure that high-value external data is documented, accessible and delivering maximum value to the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

As a trusted steward of third-party data assets, you'll:

• Support teams globally with the documentation, onboarding and lifecycle management of external data assets
• Create and maintain high-quality metadata and business documentation within enterprise data catalogues
• Partner with analytics, data operations and governance teams to improve transparency and discoverability of external datasets
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve data quality issues, manage updates and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Help identify opportunities to maximise the value and re-use of third-party data across the organisation
• Support research into new external data sources and emerging datasets
• Work closely with business stakeholders, procurement, governance and external suppliers to ensure effective data management practices

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with professionals who bring:

• Experience within Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Management or Metadata Management
• Experience working with data catalogues, metadata frameworks and data asset documentation
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
• Experience coordinating with external vendors, suppliers or third-party data providers
• Confidence reviewing contracts, data documentation and business requirements
• Excellent communication skills in English

Bonus Points For

• Experience working within Life Sciences, Healthcare or other regulated industries
• Hands-on experience with Collibra
• Exposure to Snowflake
• Experience with contract repository or workflow management tools
• Knowledge of external data acquisition or vendor data management processes

Location

Barcelona (Sant Cugat) | Hybrid working with one day per week onsite.
