Job summary

The TechBioLab within the Life Sciences Department at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) seeks a data management specialist to develop data/software management plans and support FAIR data practices across national and European projects.

Responsibilities include training researchers, promoting data governance, and ensuring data quality, security and reuse throughout project lifecycles, in collaboration with ELIXIR-ES and INB partners.

Qualifications

• MSc in data science, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in data management or data stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Develop data and software management plans for research projects.
• Support training activities and community engagement across projects.
• Ensure data management practices are FAIR, secure, well-documented and lifecycle-managed.
• Coordinate data governance, quality and compliance standards.
