Offer Description

Bachelor degree in Pharmacy, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or similar (Health Sciences)

• Experience in animal handling, administration of substances, surgeries, etc.
• Optical tissue clearing.
• Cell biology techniques: immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, histology techniques, handling of biological samples.
• Image processing.
• Confocal microscopy and SPIM.
• Good level of spoken and written English.

Tasks:

• Handling of experimental animals, administration of substances and drugs by different routes.
• Perform animal procedures: surgeries, sampling and dissections.
• Embedding of biological samples and biopsies in paraffin and agarose, haematoxylin and eosin staining and Masson Trichrome staining, cutting of tissues on vibratome, cryostat and microtome.
• Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques.
• Processing of biological samples.
• Clearing of samples for three-dimensional analysis: CUBIC, BABB, TDE and Clarity methods.
• Acquisition and processing of images by confocal microscopy and SPIM.
• Statistical analysis.
• PowerPoint presentation of data and preparation of scientific papers.
