Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is seeking a motivated Research assistant in training for the Endothelial pathobiology and microenvironment group, led by Dr. Mariona Graupera.

This role involves managing a mouse colony, tissue processing, and supporting advanced laboratory techniques in a collaborative setting. The position offers a temporary training contract, full-time hours, a competitive salary, and a dynamic Barcelona metropolitan environment with interdisciplinary teams

Formación

• Degree or technical qualification in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, or a related field.
• FELSA Category B certification to work with mice.
• Experience working with mice.
• Fluency in English will be considered a plus.
• Willingness to learn and strong teamwork skills.
• Pro-active, responsible and well-organised.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other team members.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a complex mouse colony.
• Wean and genotype mice.
• Process tissue, including cutting and staining.
• Perform FACS analysis.
• Provide support for specific lab techniques.
• Isolate primary cells.
• Oversee the organisation of the lab.
