Job Description:

We are hiring a full-time Research Assistant to support research in Organizational Behavior at IESE Business School in Barcelona. The position has a flexible start date between May and September 2025 and is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

About the Role

You will work under the supervision of Professors Maïlys George, Isabel Villamor, and Sebastian Reiche, supporting three interrelated qualitative research projects:

• How scientists respond to challenges to academic freedom
• How leaders navigate identity threats
• How global professionals manage transitions between local and global demands

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing qualitative data (primarily interview transcripts)
• Assisting with data collection, including administering a survey
• Supporting ad-hoc tasks such as formatting references, conducting literature reviews, and helping with manuscript preparation

This position is ideal for a recent graduate (bachelor’s or master’s level) considering a research career in psychology, management, or a related field. Candidates should:

• Hold a degree in economics, psychology, sociology, or another social science
• Be fluent in English at a C1 level or above (spoken and written)
• Be organized, autonomous, motivated to learn, and comfortable working independently
• Have a valid work permit for Spain

Additional Strengths:

• Experience reading academic literature and conducting literature reviews
• Familiarity with qualitative, inductive research methods

Compensation and Benefits:

The position offers a monthly salary of €1830 (before taxes) for full-time work. A part-time arrangement may be possible until the summer. Lunch and parking are subsidized.
