Gearboxes Repair Technician will be responsible for mechanical disassembly, inspection, and assembly of wind gearboxes. He/she will report to the Shop Operations Leader.

Essential Responsibilities
- Exchange bearings and gears as per engineering drawings and remanufacturing specifications.
- Perform standard mechanical assembly procedures, rework, and repair of gearbox components and systems to drawing specifications, either in the repair shop or at the wind turbine tower.
- Repair and assemble WTG 750KW, 1.5/1.6MW, and 2.x MW turbines.
- Maintain proper handling of GE tools and equipment.
- Occasionally work in tight areas, ladders, scissor lifts, and at heights greater than 4 meters off the ground.
- Perform repair operations uptower as required.
- Use tools such as lifting equipment, hydraulic and electric torque tools, hydraulic pullers, impact drills, magnetic drills, drill presses, angle grinders, sanders, and basic hand tools.
- Read and interpret mechanical layouts and engineering drawings.
- Follow all EH&S guidelines and policies, including waste management and environmental practices.
- Use CNC equipment to regrind gears, rings, and covers.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Mechanical or electrical school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a wind gearbox repair shop.
- Certified in the use of lifting equipment and practices.
- Trained in bearing assembly, sealing, adhesives, hoses manufacturing, and testing.
- Training in tightening practices, tools, and CNC.

- Flexible to work various shifts and overtime on short notice.
