Role Overview

The Renewals Manager manages and sells Riverbed software maintenance renewals in the EMEA region. This role facilitates renewals through Riverbed channel partners, sales force, and direct to customers. The Support Renewals Manager maintains Support & Subscriptions contracts and grows support revenues through renewals and reinstatements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare renewal quotes for enterprise and SMB maintenance contracts 90-120 days prior to expiration and process orders.
  • Review contractual terms and interpret conditions. Propose deal structures and lead negotiations.
  • Validate customer asset lists and contact customers and partners to ensure timely renewals.
  • Assist customers with product discrepancies, license reconciliations, and audits.
  • Manage contract merges, transfers, and license purges requests.
  • Respond to inbound customer calls, understand requests, and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote renewal programs and initiatives.
  • Track non-renewals and reasons for cancellations.
  • Forecast renewal bookings with high accuracy.
  • Ensure timely resolution of backlog issues.
  • Maintain frequent communication with stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, particularly software maintenance renewals.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, up-sell, and build relationships.
  • Experience in account planning and cross-team collaboration.
  • Strong forecasting and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Salesforce.com.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications, networking, and IP technology.
  • Second language proficiency preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
