Job summary

Climate17 is seeking a Business Development and Strategy Associate - Renewables to work closely with the Managing Director and support ongoing development of the business. This is an early-career opportunity offering broad exposure across commercial, financial, technical and strategic aspects of a growing renewable energy company.

Initially you will support day-to-day activities and projects, with progression toward ownership of more important areas of the business.

Qualifications

• Highly analytical and comfortable working with complex information.
• Commercially minded, curious and quick to understand new concepts.
• Proactive and willing to take responsibility.
• Willing and able to travel regularly between Spain and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the Managing Director with day-to-day business management and strategic priorities.
• Review management reporting, business performance and KPIs.
• Provide analytical support across technical, commercial and financial matters.
• Support M&A transactions, investment opportunities and due diligence processes.
• Assist with commercial discussions and negotiations with clients and external partners.
• Analyse individual projects, investment opportunities and potential new business areas.
• Prepare specific business studies and support strategic projects.
• Monitor EPC and O&M activities and project performance.
• Coordinate activities involving internal teams, advisers, clients and other external stakeholders.
• Support decision-making through clear analysis and well-structured recommendations.
• Gradually take ownership of selected projects and areas as experience develops.
