Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will support commissioning and service, diagnose issues, and ensure turbines perform reliably.

Candidates need an Engineering degree, wind turbine experience, SCADA familiarity, fluent English, and willingness to relocate to Barcelona with EU work eligibility. Rotating shifts and occasional on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written). Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
