Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor wind turbine performance, troubleshoot via remote diagnostics, and support field teams in maintaining safe, efficient offshore assets. The role requires travel up to 20%, relocation to Barcelona, and EU work eligibility.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with hands-on wind energy experience, and are fluent in English with strong technical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical system experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Availability to travel up to 20%; EU work eligibility; willing to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
