Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure safe, reliable offshore wind operations.

Ideal candidates hold an Engineering degree and have hands-on wind turbine experience, with SCADA proficiency and willingness to relocate to Barcelona. Limited travel and EU work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or comparable electromechanical systems in operational settings.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them to troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
