Job summary

FYUL is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead the technical direction of core AI capabilities across Search, Ranking, Recommendations and Generative AI pipelines. You will scale and evolve multi-domain systems, driving production-ready, enterprise-grade AI infrastructure.

You will own architectural decisions, mentor senior ICs, and collaborate across data science and ML engineering teams to ship high-impact ML features and products for merchants and customers, with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

8+ years building, deploying, and scaling production ML systems.
Expert in modern search and recommendation architectures (Two-Tower, ANN, Transformer rerankers).
Hands-on CV and generative AI experience with multimodal models.
Ability to ship end-to-end ML features with product impact.

Responsibilities

Define and lead architectural direction for retrieval, ranking, and learning-to-rank models.
Improve personalization using sequence embeddings and signals from merchant history.
Oversee image generation pipelines and vision models for content generation.
Own end-to-end ML product features from model to frontend integration.
