Qualifications

• 7+ years in transport compliance, road safety, or related regulatory field in a senior/specialist role.
• Deep knowledge of national/provincial transport legislation and safety standards.
• Experience conducting audits and investigations in compliance contexts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of transport operations with road traffic legislation, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain transport compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits of fleet operations, driver records, vehicle maintenance, and licensing; rectify non-compliance.
• Investigate incidents and breaches; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and training on transport regulations to staff and management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and licensing departments as required.
• Monitor legislative changes and update policies accordingly.
• Maintain all compliance documents and records; ensure accuracy and accessibility.
