Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Consultant on the Offensive Security team to assess and challenge the security posture of a diverse client portfolio. You will leverage advanced tools to advocate for cybersecurity best practices and provide strong, actionable recommendations to enhance defenses.

The role requires 3+ years in information security, expertise in offensive security, and the ability to articulate complex testing to clients. Remote work with travel as needed is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in information security with a focus on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Expertise with security assessment tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite Pro, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, and Bloodhound.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python, PowerShell, Ruby, or C++.
• Experience conducting penetration tests across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests (network, web application, cloud, mobile).
• Deliver assessments using Frontier AI Defense test harnesses and platforms with frontier models.
• Develop custom scripts, tools, and methodologies to automate offensive security engagements.
• Engage with clients, articulating testing approaches to technical and executive audiences.
• Generate detailed reports communicating test results, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align security objectives.
• Assist in scoping new opportunities and developing internal infrastructure for offensive security R&D.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet business demands.
