Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a Game Designer with strong scripting skills to create and implement gameplay mechanics across the game, ensuring they are balanced and fun to play in a fully remote setup.

You will collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and engineers to document and implement features using visual scripting and Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred), refining them through playtests and live data to deliver a polished multiplayer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on multiplayer and/or live service games.
• At least one shipped AAA title.
• Expert scripting knowledge and Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).
• Strong vector math skills.
• Passion for competitive gaming and understanding of current trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multiplayer match mechanics and features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, animators and engineers to document and implement features.
• Use visual scripting tools to create complex gameplay.
• Refine implementations through playtests and live data.
• Collaborate with leads to align design with the game's vision.
