Job summary

Pliant is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer (m/f/d) with deep DevSecOps, cloud security (AWS), and automation experience to join our security team in a fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll embed security into our platform and developer workflows, owning problems end-to-end and building scalable, automation-driven security across its stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical security (cloud-native/fintech/SaaS)
• Strong AWS security experience (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, S3, GuardDuty)
• Deep DevSecOps understanding and CI/CD integration
• Proficient in Terraform and writing reusable modules
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or TypeScript for automation
• Experience securing containers (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes) and hardened images
• Excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and software supply chain risks
• Experience with cloud security platforms (Wiz, Orca, Lacework, Prisma Cloud)
• Understanding vulnerability management and remediation workflows at scale
• Experience with application security practices (SAST/DAST, threat modeling)
• Penetration testing or vulnerability research experience
• Threat modeling or security reviews
• Strong communication and ability to explain security to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Integrate security into SDLC to protect products and data.
• Build and maintain security automation tooling at scale.
• Embed security controls into the developer platform and CI/CD.
• Develop reusable secure standards and Terraform modules.
• Harden container workloads (ECS/EKS) and enforce least-privilege access.
• Deploy and manage cloud security platforms and drive remediation workflows.
• Automate audit evidence for PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, DORA.
• Support vulnerability management and lead incident response.
• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews; advise on secure design.
• Create and maintain security documentation and internal tooling.
