Job summary

Domestiko.Com is seeking a Route and Logistics Planner for its Goods Transport division. This fully remote position in Spain involves designing, implementing, and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs across a wide network.

You will use advanced routing software, GPS data, and TMS to craft effective transportation plans, while collaborating with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics planning, route optimization, or transportation management.
• Proficiency with route planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent understanding of logistics operations and freight transportation principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.
• Familiarity with Spanish transportation laws and regulations.
• High school diploma required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly routes for our fleet, considering delivery windows, capacity, and driver hours.
• Utilize routing software and GPS technology to create efficient delivery sequences.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service teams to ensure smooth route execution.
• Monitor real-time progress and adjust routes for unforeseen circumstances (traffic, weather, issues).
• Ensure all routes comply with hours of service and other regulations.
• Generate reports on route performance, mileage, fuel consumption, and on-time rates.
• Maintain accurate route data in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans for route disruptions.
